Dhreck has created a gorgeous hemp-covered Wii-mote. It looks great, and I can only imagine how incredible this thing feels, and even smells. It is always fun to play with materiality.
I’m a big fan of tactile, natural-material user interfaces myself. In 2005 I used the guts of an ordinary mouse to create this wooden input device for an interactive work, where the viewer could explore a forest.
